Each Mountz – manual torque screwdriver is designed to eliminate the possibility of over-torqued fasteners. The cam-over philosophy of each Mountz torque screwdriver prevents operators from influencing the torque output when tightening fasteners. The patented design of each cam mechanism introduces a "slip"
sensation when the set torque is reached. This slip is actually a precision ball or several balls aligning themselves in the next cam detent.
With the growing trend of clean room manufacturing, the need for torque tools that meet stringent cleanliness requirements has increased. Responding to this manufacturing need, Mountz offers Clean Room Screwdrivers.
The tools are manufactured to comply with Class 100 Clean Room standards and are polished and sealed with PTFE impregnated,
anodized coating that creates a tool nearly 40 times as clean as “off the shelf” torque tools.
